One Year Since the Start of My Artistic Journey

Updated: 6 days ago

It has now been about two years since I began my art activities as Natsu Oguma, and one year since I officially launched my business as a sole proprietor.

I owe everything to those who have supported and encouraged me along the way.

Although I spent many years working in the design industry, I had always dreamed of starting an art-focused venture. Being given the chance to finally pursue this path feels like an incredible blessing, and I feel deeply grateful every day.

At the same time, creating art consistently has brought its own set of challenges and internal struggles. Yet, I cherish every experience and take pride in all that I’ve learned and overcome.

While 2023 brought many wonderful encounters, it was also a personally difficult year. Just as I was preparing to throw myself wholeheartedly into my work after launching my business, I found myself battling bronchial issues that persisted until the end of autumn.

Fortunately, I met a great doctor, and little by little, I was able to manage my symptoms and regain control of my health. Through this experience, I became more aware of the importance of self-care and found the courage to accept the kindness of those around me—realizations that have helped me grow.

Building on the experiences of the past year, I plan to move forward at a sustainable pace and continue my creative activities with intention in my second year of business.

Specifically, I plan to continue regularly adding new works to Casie, create pieces for upcoming solo exhibitions, and keep organizing kids’ art events. However, since I will be devoting more time to producing artwork, the number of events may be reduced. I will share updates on social media as plans evolve.

I remain committed to creating “connection-based” art that brings life to the spaces it inhabits.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support.
